The Paloma is a long, crisp tequila drink built on grapefruit. It is lighter than a margarita and easier to drink in the heat, which makes it a natural for Caribbean afternoons.

Rim the glass with Barddies Ultimate Margarita Salt and sweeten with Barddies Simple Syrup so it stays balanced whether your grapefruit is sweet or sharp.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 ml) blanco tequila
  • 3 oz (90 ml) fresh grapefruit juice
  • ½ oz (15 ml) fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Barddies Simple Syrup
  • 2 oz (60 ml) soda water
  • Barddies Ultimate Margarita Salt, for the rim
  • Grapefruit wedge, to garnish

Method

  1. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a highball glass and press it into Barddies Margarita Salt.
  2. Fill the glass with ice.
  3. Add the tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice and Barddies Simple Syrup. Stir.
  4. Top with soda water and garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
