Virgin Frozen Mango Daiquiri
All the mango, none of the rum. Frozen, smooth and shareable.
The Blue Lagoon is the drink that stops a table. It gets its colour and citrus-orange flavour from Barddies Blue Curaçao Syrup, which is non-alcoholic, so the spirit is entirely your call.
Vodka and lemonade is the classic. Swap in rum for a more tropical take, or leave the spirit out for a bright blue mocktail.
Ingredients
- 1½ oz (45 ml) vodka
- 1 oz (30 ml) Barddies Blue Curaçao Syrup
- 3 oz (90 ml) lemonade or pineapple juice
- Ice
- Maraschino cherry, to garnish
Method
- Fill a tall glass or hurricane glass with ice.
- Combine the vodka and Barddies Blue Curaçao Syrup in a shaker with ice. Shake for 10 seconds.
- Strain into the ice-filled glass and top with lemonade or pineapple juice.
- Stir gently, garnish with a cherry and serve with a straw.
Tips & Variations
- Blue Lagoon mocktail: 1 oz (30 ml) syrup, 4 oz (120 ml) lemonade and a splash of soda water over ice.
- Pineapple juice gives a more tropical flavour. Lemonade keeps it sharper.
- Use it in a slush machine for a vivid blue frozen drink.
