The strawberry daiquiri is the frozen drink guests reach for first. The trick is getting real strawberry flavour with a tart edge instead of a sugary slush, which is what the Barddies Strawberry Daiquiri Mix is formulated to do.

Blend it over ice for the classic frozen version, or shake it with rum and pour over ice when you want something a little sharper.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 ml) white rum
  • 4 oz (120 ml) Barddies Strawberry Daiquiri Mix
  • 1 cup (240 ml) crushed ice
  • Fresh strawberry, to garnish

Method

  1. Add the rum, Barddies Strawberry Daiquiri Mix and crushed ice to a blender.
  2. Blend on high for 30 seconds until smooth and frosty.
  3. Pour into a chilled glass.
  4. Garnish with a fresh strawberry on the rim.

Questions

Frozen or shaken, which is better?

Frozen is the classic and the crowd favourite. Shaken over ice gives a lighter, more tart drink.

Can I use frozen strawberries?

You can add a few for extra texture, but the mix already carries the strawberry flavour, so it is optional.
